Boundary Stone Truths meet Unsealed Revelation

Prophetic Word: Come Out of Babylon—Navigating the Great Shaking

This word was received a couple of years ago (1st of May 2024). However, I sense it is a seasonal message that remains extremely relevant for us today. Consider this an introduction, and we will unpack it further in upcoming posts.

The Call: Come out of Babylon

I had a vivid dream earlier that year in which I saw something unsettling happening upon the earth. Before panic had the chance to take root, I heard God’s voice: “Don’t worry. I am the one showing you this. You do not need to panic, as I am already preparing to deal with it.”

I then saw destroyer angels in heaven—much like the one from the days of Moses who brought the tenth plague to Egypt. These angels were readying themselves for a mission: to dismantle the works of the enemy.

The message behind the vision was clear: “Be prepared. Babylon is about to fall. Come out of her before the time comes”.

    Who is Babylon?

For context, Babylon was an ancient city in biblical times that represented ungodly culture, full of sin and pride. The concept of Babylon goes on to be used right throughout the Bible, even after the fall of the physical city. In the last book of the Bible, God calls: “Come out of her, my people,’ So that you will not share in her sins, So that you will not receive any of her plagues”. (Revelation, chapter 18: verse 4)

I believe He continues to proclaim this call today. That there is about to be a huge shaking as God purges the destructive systems of this world. If we remain deeply entangled in those ways, we will inevitably feel the force of that collapse. That dream was over two years ago. And while we have already experienced plenty of shaking in that time, I believe we are only now nearing the release of those angels. The call to “Come out of Babylon” is louder than ever.

What is the call all about?

This is a call that draws us out of corrupt Babylonian systems and into Heavenly ones. Shifting us out of old, fruitless cycles and into kingdom mindsets that produce an abundance of fruit. It is about cutting loose the ropes that once held us down and stepping into the wide-open freedom God provides.

This shaking and falling of Babylon is the separating of the wheat from the chaff. Clearing away everything that has tainted God’s creation—and us. God is inviting us to let Him gently wash the residue of Babylon from our minds and hearts. He wants us to surrender to the process, allowing Him to challenge, and correct where we have drifted off course. One step at a time. We journey the process so that there is no “Babylon” left inside us to fall, when the time comes.

    Dwelling in the Secret Place

As I prayed further into this, I saw the scene of the first Passover (Exodus, chapter 11). Families gathered safely inside their homes with the lamb’s blood brushed over their doorframes—just as God had instructed them to. The destroyer angels passed right over everyone sheltered inside, and God’s people were kept safe.

This is a picture of what it means to “Come out of Babylon.” It is a conscious choice to heed His instruction. To pull away from the noise of the world, and enter the quiet of the ‘Secret Place’ (Psalm 91:1), covered by the precious blood of Jesus.

It is here that God transforms our mindsets, far away from the whispers and pressures of the world. If God is where we find true peace and rest—and is the one who cleanses the worldly sludge off us—then dwelling with Him is our absolute best hiding place. Looking back at the story of Egypt, catastrophe struck those who remained outside this place.

So God continues to beckon us in. To leave behind worldly ways; to come inside, out of Babylon.

We often find ourselves far more intertwined with the systems of Babylon than we care to admit. Therefore, I encourage you to set aside regular time to dwell with God. Let Him wash away the sludge of Babylon. (Stay tuned—in future posts, we will dive deeper into Babylon and how it influences worldly systems today.)

Two Areas of Entanglement: Money and Medicine

I sense God has highlighted two particular areas where we need to untangle from the Babylonian ways during this time: our finances and our health.

    1. Money and Mammon

I believe we are greatly entangled with the spirit of mammon, which is a marker of the city of Babylon. Our world revolves around money, so it is hard to not get swept away with it! But God is gently resetting our mindsets regarding money. Inviting us to trust Him as our true Provider and step back into our roles as faithful stewards.

    He gently calls:

“I gave money to you as a resource, but you have made it your god. You made it your source instead of Me. You plan your lives entirely around your bank accounts; you let currency rule over you. Do you not trust that I will build My kingdom and look after My children? You trust in the security of a pay-check more than the security of Me. Will you allow Me to shift this mindset—to untangle the chains of Mammon? To show you how money was truly designed to support humanity and its purpose, rather than enslave it? If you will trust Me and release your grip on your finances, I will meet you there. I will command Mammon to loose its grip on you. Come out of Babylon—the days of slavery to Mammon are over.”

What does this call away from Mammon look like?

God is dismantling this ancient, oppressive system. As we learn to trust Him rather than our wallets, He will be able to entrust His resources to His people in unprecedented measure for the building of His Kingdom!

Renewing minds in this area will see alignment with God’s kingdom. As we begin to utilise money according to God’s design, choosing to turn our backs on the fear of running out, or the exhausting drive to always have more, we will see true contentment start to bloom. As we take those small steps, moving away from worldly survival tactics, we will feel the chains of Mammon snap!

    2. Medicine and Healing

Everything available to us in modern medicine is an incredible blessing. We live in an era of vast medical advancements, and we have every reason to be thankful. However, we must examine our hearts to ensure we haven’t started worshipping the gift above the Gift-Giver.

Consider the story of King Asa in the Bible (2 Chronicles 16:12). He started his reign well in the eyes of the Lord, but slowly drifted away from depending on God. When he developed a severe foot disease later in life, Scripture notes that “even with the severity of the disease, he did not seek the Lord’s help, but turned only to the physicians. So he died in his forty-first year of his reign”.

God is resetting our perspective here, too, with gentle correction:

“I have given you medicine and medical professionals as a resource and an aid, but you have made them your god. You seek their help instead of Mine. I am your Help; I am your Healer. You have taken My gift and placed it upon the throne. Separate yourself from Babylon so you can carry My Spirit into these spaces with clarity. No longer will “They dress the wound of my people as though it were not serious. ‘Peace, peace,’ they say, when there is no peace” (Jeremiah 6:14). We are stepping into a time where My healing power will take its place, bringing the full council of healing that was always intended. My Spirit will move alongside modern care—not as a secondary option, but as a supernatural catalyst. Not half-healings, but full healing of the whole person: physically, spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and relationally. This is a day that I am bringing complete restoration to my people and nations, as we start to rebuild the broken walls.”

    God’s plan for this space

God is calling, stirring, and training His people right now to move in power gifts—healing, deliverance, and miracles. As we step out of worldly self-reliance and partner with the Holy Spirit, these moves of God will serve as beacons. Drawing others out of Babylon and into the Kingdom.

    Steps to take right now

God is calling His Church out of Babylon to become active participants in advancing His Kingdom. It is time to stand up, shake off the shackles, and fan into flame the spiritual gifts that have sat dormant for far too long.

But as for right now, He simply asks us to prepare. To let Him challenge our mindsets in these two areas. Let us intentionally check our foundations so that we stand on the Word of God alone—untainted by the pressures of the world and the sludge of Babylon. So when the time of shaking comes, we will not be shaken. We will be found safely gathered in the Secret Place. Marked not by the banner of Babylon, but by the banner of the Lamb’s blood.

Ultimately, this word is an invitation to a pilgrimage—a journey of stepping away from the chaotic systems of the world and heading straight toward God’s city. Jerusalem. Let’s walk this road together. In upcoming posts, we’ll dive deeper into the constraints of Babylon and see what it looks like to put them away. And to build according to God’s design, one step at a time.
